Begin Your Adventure
The entrance to Cascada El Pailón is located about 20 minutes on the road from Baños to Puyo, in the town of Río Verde. It's easy to schedule a "Waterfall Tour" with a taxi or a Chiva (bus). If you take a public transportation bus to Río Verde, look for our sign with the colorful hummingbird logo or follow the road
in front of the town's soccer field. Our sales office is located beside the malecón next to the town bridge over the Río Verde. Don't miss our entrance, or you won't have the best possible view of the waterfall.
Visiting Times
We're open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Friday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Occasionally, our hours are extended during special holiday weekends. Your stay can be as short as ½ hour, but 1 to 2 hours is better... or stay with us all day!

Weather Tips
In the cloud forest, the weather can be unpredictable, but it's always a good idea to be prepared for light rain. Our gravel trails remain mostly dry, but good walking shoes, an umbrella, and of course, a camera are always a good idea.
